Swordroll's Blog Around the World

Swordroll's Blog is starting its first expansion project: Swordroll's Blog Around the World. I recently explored a few websites from different countries for Wizard101, and every one except the U.S. had only one, if any, fansites. Why shouldn't everyone be able to read about Wizard101 and bloggers' adventures? Why should only U.S. citizens be able to see all sorts of guides and be able to comment and communicate with other wizards? And so the project was started.

To begin, I'm starting a new, major segment called Wizard101 Around the World. During down days, or days that I'm constructing major posts, you may see a "Wizard101 Around the World" segment. This segment features what's going on around the world with Wizard101! Did you know that some wizards can purchase the Swift Gryphon mount from the Crown Shop? You'll learn about similarities and differences here, as well as updates in different countries.

As a part of Swordroll's Blog Around the World, we'll need everyone to be able to read the blog! I've inserted an easily found Translate tool from Google. It's free - just a bit of HTML that allows wizards of over 51 languages to read the information provided! I'll also be adding a Wizard101 Handbook page to the website. This will contain basic information on "wizarding" in general. I'll also be starting a few new characters, and their adventures will be posted on the Handbook to give ideas of what each world hold and tips for different parts of the game. The wizards' journeys will also be part of blog posts.

Take a look at that photo! The second and fourth pictured characters are wearing brand new gear! Could this be part of a special, level 70 instance, or a new world? Feast your eyes, however, the gear isn't the real news. Wizard101 reached an agreement with Taiwan Taomee Technology Co., Ltd. to release Wizard101 in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau in 2012! With its ever-expanding horizons, naturally, blogs will have to conform to the style. I suppose they wouldn't have to, but I'd like to be one of the blogs that does - reaching out beyond the local community and offering assistance to the world. It'll be easy to track the success of such an operation because Blogger shows what countries your views come from. Here's the official message:

"PLANO, TEXAS (November 8, 2011) – KingsIsle Entertainment, creators of the award-winning online game Wizard101, today announced an agreement with Taiwan Taomee Technology Co., Ltd. to launch Wizard101 in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau in 2012. The announcement comes on the heels of a similar agreement earlier this summer with Taomee Holdings Limited (NYSE: TAOM) to launch Wizard101 in China next year.

'Wizard101 is steadily transitioning from a critically-acclaimed online game in the United States into a global entertainment property,' said Elie Akilian, chairman and CEO of KingsIsle Entertainment. '2012 will be an exciting time as we formally introduce the magical world of Wizard101 to the Asian market.'

Across the continent, in Europe, Wizard101’s expansion continues at a rapid pace. Through close collaboration with Gameforge, KingsIsle’s European partner, over the last 12 months localized versions of Wizard101 have launched in the UK, Germany, Italy, France, and Spain. Additional European launches are planned in the coming months.

KingsIsle Entertainment specializes in creating online games that families can play and enjoy together. Wizard101.com has become one of the leading online destinations for tweens, teens and families, attracting approximately 13 million unique visitors per month. Over the last three years, more than 20 million players have registered for Wizard101 accounts on KingsIsle’s U.S. servers." END OF MESSAGE.

Currently, Swordroll's Blog is in the process of becoming the second/first fansite for a variety of countries by meeting the Gameforge and Wizard101 requirements, including having a custom domain. Soon, we will be www.swordroll.com! Don't worry, though, our old URL will redirect you here.

Look for more news from around the world, and see you in the Spiral!
