We're all looking forward to KingsIsle's latest game - Pirate101. But, are you looking for a head start in-game, before the game has even hit beta? I'm here to help! It isn't too hard to set yourself ahead with one thousand (1,000) in-game gold pieces... For free! The best part is that it's incredibly easy, and you can do it, too!
I've also made a few changes to my Pirate101 blog, including some involving comment options and moderation and what you see right below you - jump breaks! More on why this was added and how to get your free gold in the full post!

KingsIsle isn't giving us a break in new things to be excited about - they've announced their second project - Pirate101! Pirate101 is an extensive online world where young pirates will choose between one of five classes and endeavor on a perilous journey to stop the evil of the Spiral... the same Spiral from which their wizard is from! Pirates will fight with an all-new turn-based combat system, and gather crew members and companions as they fly their personalized ship through the worlds of the Spiral.

While Pirate101 is not scheduled to be released until later this year, so why is this site here? Swordroll's Skyway is your source for all things Pirate101 - you'll be showered with all of the news, updates, photos, sneak peeks, and more - all leading up to this epic game's release. Why start learning about something after it's already been released? Get familiar with the basics and the story before, so you'll be ready to make a safe journey across the Spiral!

It may not be Avalon, but Wizard101 is giving us something new - the Emperor's Attic Pack! No, it doesn't mean a chance at rare tickets that increase attic space, but it does mean that we get to potentially unload an attic worthy of the Emperor of MooShu himself! With eight new interactive items, and over sixty new items altogether, the Emperor's Attic Pack is sure to be a favorite! If you're lucky, you might even snag the expensive, or very difficult to craft, Tag Game!

With the coming updates to Wizard101, which include Avalon, each school was granted four new spells. Each school, with the exception of Balance, received a Mass Prism, and each school received one Spear spell, with the exception of Balance, who received two. Each school also got two new interesting spells that do a variety of things and throw everything everyone knows about PvP out of place, though I can't help but feel that that's just complainers who don't like adapting to change. However, based on some recent changes in the test realm, Storm may be headed in a new direction, and Death... well, we're feeling worse than ever with our new spells!

Well, it might not have been my first time through. Not even my second time through. However, for the first time in the live realm, I've finished Mirror Lake and completed Zafaria! It wasn't without trial, however, and you don't just get to skip to Morganthe's private domain here, I had to painstakingly make my way there... location by location. Fortunately, things speed up as you progress through Zafaria.

I might be staying as far from Avalon as possible, but don't think for a minute that I haven't been in the Test Realm! The new Crown Shop items, banking restrictions, and other updates - wouldn't miss 'em! One of the greatest new items coming to the live realm soon is the Housing Tag Game. It appeared in the Test Realm earlier this year with the Misc. updates, but didn't make it to live that time around. Now it's back, and hints at future housing games, too. Mercenaries For Hire, an experienced group of wizards that assist anyone in the Spiral for free (find them on Wizard101 Central!) hosted a test realm party that gave a large group the opportunity to test this newest feature!

|The stunning Mason Swiftblade is forced to skip his next turn.|
You might be busy with Avalon in the US, but the UK wizards received a rare opportunity to meet some of the people behind the scenes - Gameforge Support themselves! And tons of them, too. That is, if they could make it past a multi-house maze of portals, dead-ends, and tons of players competing for the limited space in the final party house!

Yes, I'm still working my way through Zafaria, slowly but surely... or maybe, not so slowly. I've spent a bit of time questing and have finally made some real progress tonight! I'm getting close to the end of the world now, and I'm hoping that they won't release Avalon on the live realm until next week, but that seems likely enough.

There's quite the buzz going around about everything that's new in Avalon, and while I refuse to familiarize myself with the areas and storylines, I'm trying to get an idea of which bosses cheat and what I'll be looking for when it hits the live realm! Meanwhile, I'll be updating you on a few of highlights of the updates, all while rushing through Zafaria. Here's a few words on the new spells.

With Avalon just around the corner, the last world has turned into a Safari Scramble. I've already announced that I won't be playing through Avalon on the Test Realm, not that you won't be getting some inside information and pictures. They've likely already pulled data for the Test Realm release later this week. Meanwhile, I've been busy inching my way through the jungle in a world whose interest dwindled after a few runs in the Test Realm, which is another reason that Avalon shall remain a partial mystery to me until released to the live game.
