Second Blog-O-Versary Contests Are Up!

With my second blog-o-versary just days away, it's time to celebrate with contests for prizes of all sorts! Join in on the fun, and learn about the origins of these contests, and about who made all of them possible!

"What Is That?" Contest

Probably the biggest of the contests, the "What Is That?" contest features twelve images from all over the Wizard101 Spiral that wizards must identify and explain in an email entry. Some are simple, while others require a bit more thinking and cunning. Paige Moonshade started this trend a while ago, and I loved the idea, so I was thrilled when she allowed me to use the idea as well.

There are some great prizes up for grabs on this one, including crowns, wands, Mechanical Wings (both permanent and temporary), and even the retired Epic Bundle house - the Massive Fantasy Palace. I may post hints as the days go by, but being first can have its benefits!

Fill the Libraries Contest

Friend and Petnome Project owner Alric Ravensinger, suggested a lore-type contest, and that's just what this one is - write up some background story or lore on Pirate101 for the chance to win Gobbler Pinatas and 2,500 crowns - and you'll want them, with these new companions, and mounts, and second chance chests!

Alric isn't alone in his thinking, actually. I've been wishing that KingsIsle games did as some others do and provided lore and background knowledge on the game. Pirate101 does a little bit of it, but not much. That's why I'm excited for this contest. AND, that's why there's 5,000 crowns up for grabs from that one. Even if you don't make that, the next two places are 2,500 crowns, plus a prize!

Pirate101 Marleybone and Aquila Riddles

It's time to test your knowledge about Pirate101's newest worlds - Marleybone and Aquila. I understand that not everyone has access, remembers everything, or knows the answers to all of the questions. So, get creative! Partner up! There are two winners of the same 2,500 crowns and Gobbler Pinata, so you and a partner can work together effectively. You can use resources such as the Centrals or other social sites, and websites like the Wiki for more information.

I may also post hints on these as we go along, but if everyone gets all 15 right, the fastest are the winners! Best of luck!

Rafflecopter: Majestic Bundle and More!

I understand that not everyone has time for tougher contests, so I'm offering an opportunity for everyone to participate in through this raffle... and don't think it's just the leftover prizes that got tossed in here!

What About the UK?

I have some things for you all as well in the near future - stay tuned!

A Special Note

A HUGE thanks to Legends over at Legends of the Spiral. He's donated most of the prizes used in this contest. And you know what the funny part is? He thinks I'm the one helping him out! I am honored to give away these prizes - I hope you enjoy winning them as much as I enjoy giving them away.

Over the next couple of weeks, I'll try to talk about how far Swordroll's Blog has come with the help of so many! Thanks for reading, and see you in the Spiral!

    1. Good question. Seeing that I did not specify, yes, it may be.

    2. Also, are you "marking" (for lack of a better word) the lore contest on quality and detail or on cleverness and effort or something else (I really want to enter this one, and I want to know how detailed it needs to be to win!)

    3. There are two main criteria that I'll be checking. Number one - is it a good story. I don't care if it's 100 words or 2000 words, the best story usually wings. Number two - does it work? Because if Frogfather just magically evolved from a fairy and got fat eating Krokotopians... well, that's not real plausible. I want something that fits.

    4. Darn... Better think of a defferent story then! Jokes obviously.

    1. If you don't have social media accounts, that's alright, you can still enter the other portions of the Raffle. Also, there are equally good prizes available from contests that everyone can participate in using only their email.

If you have a website or some other way of sharing that you think is sufficient, email me and I can give you entries for those.
