Earlier today, Wizard101 released one of its most interesting packs - the Sinbad Hoard Pack! You can collect many of the usual goodies, but with a twist. You'll also get reagents that you can use toward crafting a new housing gauntlet! Check out what's in the pack!
Sinbad Hoard Pack: What's Inside
There seems to be a little confusion as to whether this pack is Mirage themed or Aquila themed. It seems to be a mix of both... with a dash of pirate. There are cats from Mirage featured on the wand and in the new Treasure Card, but the gauntlet uses a lot of assets from Pirate101's Aquila. The gear is all "sky captain" related. The rest of the items seem to come more from Aquila, featuring creatures of myth.
Roc Mount
The highlight of this pack is the Roc mount. It's a single-passenger mount providing the usual 40% speed boost and 3% power pip chance, making it a slight upgrade to the Desert Racer, from which the mount also gets its base model and some of its animations. The pack also has a chance to give one-day and seven-day mounts.
Gryphon Pets
There are three adorable Gryphon pets up for grabs from this pack. You can get the Scrappy, Snappy, and Plucky Gryphons which are Death, Balance, and Myth. All of these pets start out with pretty good stats and 66 or 67 pedigree. If you happen to the same school as the pet you're using, you'll also benefit from the school blade it provides. Notably, these pets are only rare in the pack, as opposed to their usual Ultra-Rare status.

Pirate Gear
I say pirate gear because of the names, but it could just as easily be some Mirage or Aquila gear. These sets are primarily offensive, minus the robes which aren't particularly interesting. While people have initially downplayed the gear, it has a fairly cool look (though the textures seem to be lower quality) and the stats on the hats and boots could be effective in offensive setups.
Hook Wands
These wands are sure to be a highlight. I don't think people realize just how good they are yet. They are likely some of the best wand options available at the moment for wizards. They offer the insane damage of the some of the more recent pack wands with better critical, equivalent pip conversion, and piercing on top of that! Wow.
Gear & Wand Grade: B

Great 24% | Good 18% | Average 26% | Poor 32%
New Furniture & Other Items
Besides the usual filler, there are other new items to be had from this pack! There's a pretty wide variety of new housing items that are primarily Mirage themed. I've gotten 16 new ones so far in my pack openings. Some are pretty cool, especially the new fences! They're pretty common drops and they allow you to build a fence in sections or add individual posts.
This pack also offers a series of reagents that can used to craft the Sinbad & the Iron Sultan Gauntlet, but no one seems to have gotten enough yet to craft it as far as I know. You'd have to buy quite a few packs to do it. Additionally, there are a lot of jewels and socketing wrenches which should be level-based but seem to be glitched to give level 15+ items.
Furniture & Other Item Grade: B
The community rates these items as:
Great 8% | Good 20% | Average 36% | Poor 36%
Pack Analysis
Unlike a lot of other packs, you won't just find one or two new items per pack max. You can get quite a few more. I found myself getting lucky on a few packs and getting four new items with one of the new reagents - that's five out of seven! There's a good chance of getting something new when you open this pack for sure.

Here's the rarity of some of the more notable items in the pack:
- Epic: Mount
- Ultra-Rare: Robes, Wands, 7-Day Mount
- Rare: Hats, Boots, Pets, 1-Day Mount
- New furniture items range from Common to Rare
The Verdict
There are a lot of really good things happening here. You've got some decent looking gear with some pretty good stats, particularly on the boots. You've got really, really solid wand choices from the pack. You've got new furniture. You've got a new summon TC (Sinbad) and new pets, plus a really cool mount. And although the number maybe not be quite right on crafting and purchasing the Sinbad Gauntlet, it's a really great concept that I hope will stick around. Give this pack a try and see what you get!
