Wizard101's latest Test Realm reveals new fish in Zafaria! With rank 2 sentinels to battle with in these wild waters, all new tactics will have to be employed to catch a host of creative new fish.
Other Fishing Guides:
Wild Waters
Nothing about Zafaria is tame, and fishing is no exception. Here you'll find all new rank 2 sentinels. These are particularly effective as protecting other fish as they cannot be banished by your rank 1 sentinel spell. Instead, you have to work around them to catch the creative new Zafarian fish.
Zafaria is such a scenic world with a variety of different environments. Some places are easier than others to fish in. Many will require some amount of patience, and, like Dragonspyre, you may need to use some spells and tactics which you did not previously.
Sentinel Advice
Previously, you could banish sentinels when you were done catching them. You might grab one for you collection and then move on to other fish. Not in Zafaria! The sentinels here have gone up a rank and that means you'll need some new tactics to handle them.
Scaring them can help. They'll just pop up again, but hopefully away from the fish you are wanting to catch. The most effective (but not efficient) way to avoid sentinels is to catch them all out of the pond.
There is one other underused method that has two uses here in Zafaria. The Catch and Freeze. First, you use Charm to pull all of those fish you can't reach toward you, then as they near you, you freeze them using Fish Lullaby. If the sentinels are close enough to the fish you're trying to catch, you may still lose it, but your chances are much better of avoiding them. This also brings in fish that are well beyond your reach to you.
Zafaria Fish
Note: Experience listed in "First Catch, All Catches After" format. These fish are sorted alphabetically.
Which lure do I use? Look at the school first, and then the rank. You should use that rank of that school lure to try and catch that fish.
Have you caught anything interesting in Zafaria?
