The KingsIsle gaming community has always been unique, and with this upcoming event, we're hoping to further expand our involvement. Ten fansites (and potentially more to come), both official and unofficial, have teamed up to bring you events in this first-of-its-kind celebration.
About the Festival
Now hopefully an annual event, the Fansite Festival makes player connection with fansites and fansite owners a little more personal. It's a chance to get in-game and come to a number of events hosted by these owners and meet them personally.
What is the Fansite Festival?
The festival itself is an all-day event where there will be several smaller events held by fansite owners (hosts) that you can attend throughout the Spiral. Hosts as of now are as follows (click to view their sites):
- Adventures of the Spiral
- Ditto Monster
- Legends of the Spiral
- Mercenaries 101
- Paige's Page
- Petnome Project
- Spiral Radio 101
- Stars of the Spiral
- Swordroll's Blog
When is it and what do we do?
This year's Festival takes place all day on April 18. None of the events have been set in stone, so there are no official announcements on these just yet, but each fansite owner will be hosting their own event. These may be at specified times or all at once and people can split up.
Can I host an event?
Of course! While there's limited space, you can certainly apply to host an event. Just come up with something unique and submit you idea on the official Fansite Festival page. Events are then reviewed and approved or declined with details explaining that more information is needed or that they're full.
It's easy to keep up-to-date on events and announcements regarding the Fansite Festival. Just visit the official site HERE, or follow the new Twitter account HERE.
I'll be sure to keep you updated! Stay tuned. Thanks for reading and see you in the Spiral.
